Version 37336/37365 Release Notes for Sins of a Dark Age - June 2 2014

Item Guides[]

  • By default, every Hero now has an Item Guide divided into three sections: Starting Items, Essential Items and Final Build. The intent is for new players to buy the items in each section from left to right and then move onto the next section.
  • Advanced users can create their own Item Guides. They can rename each section, select different items and modify the item ordering. Each Hero Kit Slot can support one Item Guide. The intent here is to help with experimentation and the creation of strategies in advance. It is also useful for synchronizing Hero Gear with Items. We expect that most advanced players will adapt their builds during play but it can be helpful to have one or more reference points available during a match.


General Gameplay[]

  • The game now begins with 6 minutes of day instead of 4.
  • Fixed bug where Hero may not not chase targets into the grass correctly.
  • Fixed bug where pets would not chase targets into the grass correctly.
  • Fixed pets stuttering when their Hero moves into or out of grass.
  • Fixed bug where Hero may stop suddenly when chasing a target.
  • Fix bug where a unit's attack (or any ability) would cut off mid use if the target moved out of range and the unit isn't allowed to move to get in range.
  • Fixed bug where right clicking a target after it was auto acquired would result in incorrect attack and movement behavior.
  • Fixed attack move from not attacking units within the correct range (mostly effect melee Heroes).
  • Fixed bug Heroes could chase units to a position they couldn't detect after the target had teleported.
  • Heroes now correctly maintain and chase auto acquired targets (as opposed to constantly switching to new targets and not chasing them).
  • Improved effect that indicates when a target is targeting you.
  • Fixed damageResponse sound effects from not playing.
  • Adjusted position of towers so they can't fire into the jungle.


Heroes[]

Khagas[]

  • Added new Direbone Khagas skin with unique art and sound.
  • Lowered the startVolume on his Heroic Shot but increased the stopFadeDistance so it can still be heard from far away (necessary due to its long range).
  • Added new ability art.


Xeros[]

  • Added new ability and buff art.


Skalla[]

  • Added attack sounds and Serrated spear sound for Tribal Skalla.
  • Updated default Skalla's voice.
  • Added Tribal Skalla voice.


Serewyn[]

  • When targets are in Serewyn's roots and are trapped, instead of getting a second root buff icon they now receive the proper trapped buff icon.
  • Fix a bug that caused Serewyn's Root Tether to continue dealing damage over its duration even if Serewyn had died.


Slivus[]

  • Updated Direbone Slivus's voice.


Lord Dekain[]

  • Added effects for Spectral Lord Dekain.
  • Festering Plague - Magic Damage scaling increased to +0.3 SP from +0.1 SP
  • Choking Breath - Cooldown increased to 14.5/14/13.5/13 from 12
  • Swarm - Magic Damage scaling reduced to +0.45 SP from +0.65 SP


Slag[]

  • Added Bombardier Slag fidget sounds.

Tar Ball[]

  • Fire now spreads more quickly once it is lit.
  • Reduction in the amount of Slow when lit reduced to 25% of unlit tar, down from 50%
  • Magic Damage over time changed to 35/50/65/80 from 40/50/60/70


The Big One[]

  • Mana cost reduced to 150 from 150/175/200
  • Cooldown increased to 180/160/140 from 120/105/90
  • Magic Damage reduced to 225/325/425 from 225/350/475
  • Enemy knock back speed increased to 7.5 from 4.5


Rachna[]

  • Tweaks to various effects.

Cavernlings[]

  • Health changed to 145/205/265/325/385 from 190/230/270/310/350
  • Armor increased to 30/35/40/45/50 from 30
  • Magic Resistance increased to 50/60/70/80/90 from 50
  • Attack Power changed to 6/8/10/12/14 (+0.1 of Rachna's SP) from 8/10/12/14/16


Prolific Horror[]

  • Passive cooldown increased to 36/32/28/24/20 from 20


Unwilling Host[]

  • Magic Damage to minions with spent Cavernling increased to 125/200/275/350 from 100/175/250/325
  • Magic Damage to minions without spent Cavernling increased to 62.5/100/137.5/175 from 50/87.5/125/162.5


Scuttling Nightmares[]

  • Cooldown increased to 12/11/10/9 from 11/10/9/8
  • Travel speed increased to 4.5/4.75/5.0/5.25 from 4.5
  • Magic Damage reduced to 80/135/190/245 from 80/140/200/260

  • Improved Dragon's glow effect.


Tower Siege[]

  • Fixed bug where Quest Siege unit wouldn't attack after being deployed.
  • Updated Siege Master tower cooldown buff icon


Divine Lost Army[]

  • Updated Heaven Escort Beacon buff icon.

Glyphs[]

  • Glyph buying window improved.
  • Haste visual effect improved.
  • Anguish visual effect improved.
  • Slaughter visual effect improved.

  • Gold cost reduced to 255 from 375
  • Magic Resistance reduced to 4 from 7
  • Health reduced to 55 from 85
  • Health Regeneration reduced to 0.5 from 1.1


Conscript's Dagger[]

  • Gold cost reduced to 255 from 375
  • Attack Power reduced to 4 from 7
  • Health reduced to 40 from 65


Conscript's Shield[]

  • Gold cost reduced to 255 from 375
  • Armor reduced to 4 from 7
  • Health reduced to 55 from 85
  • Health Regeneration reduced to 0.5 from 1.1


Conscript's Wand[]

  • Gold cost reduced to 235 from 375
  • Special Power reduced to 9 from 10
  • Health reduced to 35 from 65
  • Mana Regeneration reduced to 0.4 from 0.7


HUD and User Interface[]

  • Added a negative/positive buff underlay.
  • Improved Glyph buying window.
  • Infocards now render ability ratios with icons in the front end, on level up buttons, and on the normal ability buttons.
  • Added HotKey info to the "Drop Quest Item" button.
  • Added a purchase glow to inventory slots when buying items in the in-game store.
  • Different contexts for ability values now show either the actual ratio or the aggregate bonus value from the ratio's stat.
  • Player count added to the home panel.


Loot[]

  • Increased chances of acquiring materials, especially rarer materials.
  • Decreased chances of acquiring recipes.


Frontend[]

  • Added a panel that shows you your Virtue Level in the PortalTopBarPlayerPanel.
  • Added attribute icons in front of attribute bars.
  • Can now view other peoples hero kits in the player dialog.
  • Started reorganizing home screen.
  • Added Trade chat channel.

Misc[]

  • More CPU optimizations.
  • More memory optimizations.
  • Numerous text clarifications and consistency fixes.
  • Fixed horizontal font clipping.

Amendments[]

  • Improved Item Guide shop drag and drop behavior.
  • Can now right click to remove items from an Item Guide.
  • The listbox / grid for front end Item Guide shop is now larger.
  • Temporarily disabling gamesButton in both profile view areas.
  • Fixed incorrect prices for Items in the front end Item Guide shop.
  • Fixed bug where a Hero (e.g Drengar) could get stuck in the Hydra (or other similar situations).
  • Fixed crash bug.
  • Fixed missing Rachna effects.
  • Virtue now starts at 1 instead of 0. (Everyone will appear one Virtue level higher than they were before as a consequence)
